4 Chords, a 2 note verse, a single string bend and a rehash of the vocal melody for the highly acclaimed what fans and "experts" like to call a "guitar solo" all while whining about nothing. Yeah this is definitely the pinnacle of music.

If Kurt Cobain doesn't commit suicide, Nirvana goes down in music history as a mere footnote. However, the man kills himself, and Nirvana becomes viewed as some kind of revolutionary, innovative band. The acclaim given to this band is quite disproportionate to their music's level of creativity and ingenuity.

When this is the only Nirvana song people have heard, I die a little inside.

Not even close to being one of the best songs by the Beatles, let alone one of the greatest songs ever as it's so often touted to be. Brainless drivel that is well suited to drunken singalongs and nothing more.

"Hey Jude" is a good song, but it's certainly not an all-ending song that people make it out to be.

I'm a huge fan of The Beatles. If any Beatles' songs are going to appear on this list, they should be "Yesterday" or "Let It Be. " Those songs made it to 13th and 20th on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs list, respectively. When I ranked The Beatles' songs, neither of those songs made the top 50.

Although the lyrics are really, really good, I find the general flow of the music and the tune (especially the opera part) beyond annoying. That is one thing that ruins this otherwise brilliant song.

When this song first came out I was in physical therapy, and the therapists would have the radio on the dumb hip-hop station where I was guaranteed to hear this song once every time I went there! I just wanted to buy one of the CD's so I could toss it in the fire and watch it burn. And I don't just say that about any song...
