1
Paul McCartney - The Beatles

This is a classic playing! It is so accurate it leaves no place for another line

Although I'm more of a Lennon than McCartney fan, I have to give Paul credit for all the wonderful bass playing he's done! Go Paul!

2Geddy Lee - Rush

His inventive, kinetic bass lines are hard to duplicate. he is probably the only living flamenco bassist in rock today.

3John Entwistle - The Who
4James Jamerson - Session Artist
5Christopher Wolstenholme - Muse
6Mike Gordon - Phish
7Larry Graham - Sly & The Family Stone
8Chris Squire - Yes
9Jojo Garza - Los Lonely Boys
10Les Claypool - Primus

11John Paul Jones - Led Zeppelin
12John Deacon - Queen
13Cliff Burton - Metallica
14Krist Novoselic - Nirvana

Nirvana wouldn't have been the same without his mind=boggling bass lines.

15Flea - Red Hot Chili Peppers
