“Metallica at their peak. If they only could write new songs that were less complex -just straight simple songs that you could enjoy the first time you heard them. It annoys me that you have to listen to an album 10 times just to "understand" it. MOP sounded great the 1st time and it still does. After the black album they have made a few good songs, but not a good abum.”
“I fail to see how anyone could possibly argue that any album other than MAYBE Justice could compete with Master of Puppets. This album is the essence of Metallica. Speed, complexity, dynamics, harmony, anger... it’s metal Utopia. It will always be regarded as their best and one of the best Metal albums of all time.
”
“This album set the bar too high and I never enjoyed their later stuff as much

Metallica (The Black Album)
“Man... All this CD’s songs are great.. Master of puppets has only 3... Kill em all has got 3 and S”
“This is BY FAR simply the best album in my opinion. I LOVE it! <3”
“One thing you have to remember about AJFA is that this is the first full album after the death of Cliff Burton. There is an intense emotional depth to this album, a backlash against the workings of the universe, a furious scream against the unfairness of life, that things aren’t "just. " Anger is mixed with sadness along with an unmistakable knowledge that all cannot be controlled. Horrible things happen for no reason at all. This album is an intense wringing of Metallica’s soul, and I just don’t see that equaled, to this extent, by the other albums, no matter how great they are.”
“Even though the bass is strangely excised, this album is an artistic, aesthetic, musical masterpiece, equivalent to a symphony, with movements and a specific motif -- the (in)justice of humanity, within and without. This is Metallica’s title shot at dethroning "Dark Side of the Moon" as greatest concept album ever. Nuff said!”
“Ajfa rocks hard. It has lyrics with something to say, matched with great guitar work. It has lars at his rocking best.
