Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
“Duh?”
“This is easily Williams’ best score... Rousing, memorable and heroic. Star Wars may be better remembered simply because it’s Star Wars, but Superman was special. There’s a reason that opening March keeps getting re-used every time the director wants to get the audience stirred up in a scene involving Superman.”
“How can any John Williams collection be complete without this classic score? It’s my all time favourite and was actually the 1st album I ever bought that made me appreciate a good film score.”

Jaws!
“With two simple note, he terrified us. Then adding several more notes, this score thrilled and excited us. Jaws is not the first of John’s scores I was captured by, but I think it is still the most memorible for me because it opened the door to my passion for film music.”
12)
The Reivers
“This was an early one that brought JW to my attention and I have collected his music ever since.”

Close Encounters of the Third Kind
“Well, I think that the score transmits perfectly all the actions and feelings of the movie, specially at the end. The atonal style describes the mystery and the mountain theme (that we can listen in a huge orchestration in the suite and in end credits as well) describes the fowards of contact with aliens. On the last track of the CD (in Spotify), we can listen a transitory music, that starts completelly atonal and ends in a romantic language. I think that the appearance of the mountain theme at the end credits it’s John Williams best and well-orchestrated melody.”
